I graduated in 2007 from the Okanagan Valley College of Massage Therapy's comprehensive three year diploma program. During that time, I earned both a Leadership and Professional Development awards, and in my graduating year received a Massage Therapy Program Practical award due to having achieved over 95% in all of my practical courses. I have always been dedicated to providing optimal client care. Prior to Massage Therapy, I earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing and worked as a Registered Community Mental Health Nurse in both Vancouver and Kamloops.
I strive to integrate my mental health nursing experience with the Massage Therapy work I do, providing my clients with a safe place to unwind and take refuge from their busy and often challenging lives. My primary goal is to bring my clients to a greater state of balance physically, mentally and emotionally recognizing one facet always impacts the others to a varying degree. Decreasing sympathetic nervous system firing (stress) directly impacts not only muscle tension but many other vital integral body systems.
My hands on work is centered around deeper myofascial trigger point release, fascial work, gentle joint mobilizations, neuromuscular therapy, visceral release and Swedish techniques. I also offer aromatherapy use of high quality essential oils, hot stone massage therapy and hand paraffin therapy. I have a keen interest in working with pregnant and post partum mothers to enjoy healthy pregnancies, deliveries and post partum recovery. I enjoy working collaboratively with both my clients and other professionals in our community to assist our clients in achieving their health and wellness goals.
My husband and I have two young sons who keep our lives full of adventure, laughter and meaning. We are outside as often as possible enjoying all that the laid back, beautiful Cariboo has to offer.
Hana is currently on maternity leave until fall 2019.

I’ve newly returned to WilliamsLake from my practice as a Registered Massage Therapist in Vancouver. My love for helping others has led me to this career path where I’ve come to work with a wide range of patient demographics including geriatrics, pre/post-natal, athletes, professional stunt people, paraplegics, and those who suffer from postural challenges and repetitive strains. As well, I treat a host of conditions from headaches and MS to nerve entrapments and osteoarthritis.
My favourite part of practice comes down to making patients feel and function better. We’ll develop a treatment plan together to get you back in good health. An integral part of my practice is patient education which includes prescribing safe, effective remedial exercises. Having practiced for the past 10 years in an inter-disciplinary team environment of physiotherapists, chiropractors, kinesiologists and naturopathic doctors, I support co-current therapy and will refer my patients as required to appropriate disciplines of practice to ensure the best possible outcomes.
On a personal level, I have strong background in athletics. I grew up as a competitive swimmer and swim teacher. I’m an avid rock climber and mountaineer. I’m a cross trainer, motorcycle enthusiast, world traveler and bus & home builder. I’m passionate about people- meeting new people, networking, community building, and of course, learning about my patients’ stories and perspectives. It’s all part of the fun.
Monday, Tuesday and Friday
I have recently returned the Cariboo and I look forward to building my practice. During my schooling, I provided treatments for a variety of conditions, from neurological origins, pre/post-orthopedic surgery, working with pediatrics, the elderly and athletes. I enjoy helping my clients through assessment and modifying treatment plans to their individual needs using neuromuscular therapy, trigger point release, myofascial release, Swedish massage, joint mobilizations and muscle energy techniques. I always offer suggestions for remedial exercises and hydrotherapy as home care. In the future, I plan to further my knowledge in visceral manipulation and myofascial release techniques.
